Our employees, students, and community are extremely proud of our school system. Our expectations are high, and we work as a team in striving for excellence in the academic, athletic, band, and extra curricula programs. This extra effort paid huge dividends in the 2012-13 school year as the PCSD was recognized as one of only five (5) school districts in North Mississippi to obtain an ‘A” classification by the Mississippi Department of Education.
While learning is our fundamental purpose, the professional development of our people is also a major component of the Pontotoc City Schools’ culture.
